I will chime in with I like Gabriella. Without going into book spoilers, I will say she's significantly different in some ways but, for me, captures the essence of the character as someone whose mortal life was effed up and who is thoroughly happy to slough that off and be a vampire. I think they also captured the essence of her relationship with Lestat in that they really love each other and always will but also (want to) inhabit very different worlds and need a lot of space.

I agree with this 100%. Also, even the briefest glimpse of his family life it's NO WONDER he is the way he is.

With a peek into Lestat's past, are you feeling more or less confused about the season's titular character? Did it reveal what you expected? I've read the books so I knew what to expect for the most part but I like what they've revealed so far.

Lestat and Gabrielle, a doomed relationship or do you see something that could withstand the test of time? Is their distance their saving grace? Oh they're toxic and trashy and I imagine there's going to be some extra drama no matter what happens. Can't wait.

Louis just had an old score handed to him. Is this the fallout we'll be seeing for him this season, or do you suspect that'll center more around Lestat? I'm very excited to see what happens with this. And I hope they expand on that little comment about Louis taking out 31 (I think? I need to rewatch the episode) in Dubai. Was that an attack on him by other vampires because of the book?

As for Daniel, he seems to be making friendly with all the wrong people this season. Thoughts? I think Daniel needs to go talk to his maker instead of playing around with rock stars lol. Or the Talamasca. He's going to get himself into trouble.

Any parting thoughts? I am so here for this ride. This season is so chaotic and I love it. Also, Thomas Pitt as Louis' alias was very funny. That whole scene with the lawyers was fantastic. 10/10 no notes.
